Purposeful and without hesitation,the jay skips along the ground. Suddenly she starts digging in the open snow. What will be found here?

A few moments later, the jay is deep in the snow, only to pop up again with an acorn in its beak ! How did she know it was there?
Certainly!
The jay had hid the food herself in September or October. A jay can hide thousands of acorns in the ground. She finds the food, with an impressive certainty during the winter and spring, even below half a meter of snow!
