Habitat
Thrive in most environments. In Sweden, it lives in mountainous and forest regions of central and
northern part of the country.
Habits
The wolf is very social and lives in flocks all year round. The home territory varies in size from 5 to 150 square kilometres, within which the wolf can roam 30 kilometres within 24-hours. The territory is marked with urine and droppings.
Food
Roe deer, deer and elk are the most important foods, but the wolf also eats beaver and small game. It has a remarkable olfactory sense – the wolf can smell an elk at distances of several kilometres.
