Red deers in september
Stressful time
September is the month of the red deer's rutting season, a stressful time. The husky bellowing of the bucks is incessant. It can be heard at a distance of five kilometres, and does tend to be attracted by the performance.

Unruffled by the excited activity on the other side of the bush, some goldfinches pick seeds from burdock seed-clusters.
